Magpies sit top of the tree in very active Division.

Division 4 is taking shape as Thiago and his magpies take top spot in an exciting league.

Meanwhile, the fight for 2nd and 3rd is a whole different story.

Who can stop Newcastle’s 7 match winning streak? Lets find out.

I am not keen on using the word ‘domination’ or ‘one sided’ however, in this case, it is very much needed. A start that every player could dream for as Thiago and his Newcastle side fly into top spot after 8 games in the division. I mean 21 points out of a possible 24, very good indeed. It is quite clear that Thiago has found the ropes well with his North East side and is hoping to do more of the same. Not only has this man has pure success in his division but also in the League Cup. The Newcastle manager got matched up against Championship side Athletico Madrid. Surely this could only have gone one way? Thiago proved everyone wrong by beating the Spanish side 1-0 in a remarkable win to see him through into the second round, where he faces another tough task against Premier League side Wolves. Can he pull off another upset?

Looking at the division, and someone asked you. Who do you think will take 2nd and 3rd? I honestly wouldn’t be able to answer. With just 3 points separating 6th and 2nd. You’d be crazy giving an answer. This really could go any way. With the next few games deciding the play out of the league, it really is crunch time. 6 sides are all looking for the promotion spots but, as we all know, only 3 teams can proceed in doing so.

With Russian side Locomotiv Moscow currently leading the pack in the battle for 2nd and 3rd, they’re the side to beat at the moment. Coming off a huge 2-1 home win against  promotion rivals Tigres, the confidence will be flowing through his side. Just what Anthony needs at this point in the season. Looking at the stats, Locomotiv Moscow, they have conceded more goals then they have scored, a worrying stat for the promotion hopeful side. I managed to speak with manager Anthony earlier today, here’s what he had to say on the his season so far and going for promotion. ” My season could have been better, created chances but not clinical enough ” “It looks like Thiago is running away with the league and the people I have left to play are new so it’s hard to judge their quality. ”        ” Hopefully I can win a few more to secure promotion ” A very hopeful Anthony Price but can he clinch promotion?

Two stand out teams in the division are Bournemouth and Besiktas, why I hear you ask? These two sides have the exact same record. Played 5, won 2, lost 2 and drawn 1, their goal difference matches also, both on -2. However, these two sides are yet to play each other. With promotion rivals Moscow, Watford and Tigres all playing 7 game or more, the two managers will be looking to use this to their advantage and climb the table.

I spoke to the main man in charge of the WFL Alex Murray, on how he sees this division 4 panning out. Here’s what he had to say.

So Alex, division 4, a very active league. How do you see it panning out and what do you think about Thiago’s dominance with Newcastle?

“On his debut month, I believe Thiago has already wrapped up his first title in WFL with 8 games played…….. Any more points will be a sheer bonus” “A goal difference of 22-6 and beating Athletico Madrid 1-0 in the first round of the League Cup is impressive.

Who do you see taking the other 2 promotion places?

The other 5 active teams are so closely matched! I honestly believe Tigres managed by Abi Callar have been unlucky…. Not scared to score! But goals conceded have been a big impact on the table for the Colombian side.”

How do you see Anthony Price’s season coming along with Locomotiv Moscow?

“It’s nice to see my right hand man come back to the WFL with steady results before we wrap it up for FIFA 19”

Top 3 prediction?

1st – Thiago Goes

2nd – Anthony Price

3rd – Daniel Mustoe

A pact league with still a lot to play for! Keep your eyes on this division for sure.
